Cutting Board Care
DO:
- Hand wash with light dish washing detergent and wipe dry.
- Put your cutting board on a wire rack or upright to dry when done.
- Enjoy your new cutting board.
DON’T:
- Put the cutting board in a dishwasher.
- Dunk or leave the cutting board in standing water.
- Use bleach, this will stain the wood and or dry out the wood.
- Put the wet board flat to dry, uneven drying may cause the board to warp or crack.
CARE:
- If your board has stains or smells, you can use lemon juice or white vinegar directly on the area.
- Once a month (or when the board looks dry) apply food grade mineral oil or cutting board butter to your board. Don’t use oils like olive oil as they will go rancid over time.
